Journey to see God: See God as we praise His greatness

How do we sing praise to God and praise His holy name? Here is a real life example. David's song of praise is full of God and totally God-focused. He was described as a man after God's heart. He certainly knew God.

David’s Song of Praise (from 1 Chronicles 16)
On that day David gave to Asaph and his fellow Levites this song of thanksgiving to the Lord:
8 Give thanks to the Lord and proclaim His greatness.
Let the whole world know what He has done.

Sing to Him; yes, sing His praises.
Tell everyone about His wonderful deeds.

10 Exult in His holy name;
rejoice, you who worship the Lord.

11 Search for the Lord and for His strength;
    continually seek Him.

12 Remember the wonders he has performed,
his miracles, and the rulings he has given, 13 you children of His servant Israel,
you descendants of Jacob, His chosen ones.

14 He is the Lord our God.
His justice is seen throughout the land.

15 Remember His covenant forever—
the commitment He made to a thousand generations.
16 This is the covenant He made with Abraham
and the oath He swore to Isaac.
17 He confirmed it to Jacob as a decree,
and to the people of Israel as a never-ending covenant:
18 “I will give you the land of Canaan
    as your special possession.”
19 He said this when you were few in number,
a tiny group of strangers in Canaan.
20 They wandered from nation to nation,
    from one kingdom to another.
21 Yet He did not let anyone oppress them.
He warned kings on their behalf:
22 “Do not touch My chosen people,
and do not hurt My prophets.”

23 Let the whole earth sing to the Lord!
Each day proclaim the good news that he saves.

24 Publish his glorious deeds among the nations.
Tell everyone about the amazing things he does.

25 Great is the Lord! He is most worthy of praise!
He is to be feared above all gods.

26 The gods of other nations are mere idols,
but the Lord made the heavens!

27 Honor and majesty surround Him;
strength and joy fill His dwelling.

28 O nations of the world, recognize the Lord,
recognize that the Lord is glorious and strong.

29 Give to the Lord the glory He deserves!
Bring your offering and come into His presence.
Worship the Lord in all His holy splendor.

30     Let all the earth tremble before him.
The world stands firm and cannot be shaken.
31 Let the heavens be glad, and the earth rejoice!
Tell all the nations, “The Lord reigns!”32 Let the sea and everything in it shout his praise!
Let the fields and their crops burst out with joy!
33 Let the trees of the forest sing for joy before the Lord,
for he is coming to judge the earth.

34 Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good!
    His faithful love endures forever.
35 Cry out, “Save us, O God of our salvation!
Gather and rescue us from among the nations,
so we can thank Your holy name
    and rejoice and praise You.”
36 Praise the Lord, the God of Israel,
who lives from everlasting to everlasting!

And all the people shouted “Amen!” and praised the Lord.

Today is the day of decision: effortless change

Today is the day of decision. Change. A humble spirit to submit to God and resist the devil. Here are resources which can help every individual (Christian or non-Christian) to walk the victorious way. These entirely Bible-based teachings are short, thirty minutes each. Many have been blessed through these nuggets. Please watch.

Quoted from Andrew Wommack's Effortless Change:
"Kneeling beside my bed one day in 1968, I began to pray, “Lord, what do I have to do to get from where I am to where You want me to be?” I opened my eyes, and as I saw my Bible laying on the bed in front of me, I heard the Lord say, “Just put My Word in your heart, and it will do the rest.”
"Although the Lord spoke that to me in prayer, it was important for me to see it in the Word. He revealed and confirmed it to me through a parable in Mark 4:26-29. It says,
And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground; [27] And should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how. [28] For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear. [29] But when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he putteth in the sickle, because the harvest is come.
"In this parable, Jesus compared the Word of God to a seed (Mark 4:14). Today, since so few of us are farmers, it might take a little explanation for us to fully grasp these truths.
"First, He taught that God’s Word has to be planted like a seed in our hearts. Just as a seed doesn’t release its life until it is planted into the ground, God’s Word will not set us free until we get it in our hearts. Having the Bible on our tables, in our hands, or in our heads is not sufficient; we have to let God’s Word penetrate our hearts...." Spiritual journey into worship and praise

This traveler has increasingly been led in the spirit to worship and praise.
For about nine months a thirty years old worship and praise church with prophetic messages, divine healing and signs confirming God's words , and demonstrating the power of God, has brought such great revelation about the greatness of God and closeness in reality between God and man.
It has been a really marvelous experience of God's presence. His Kingdom comes. His will be done on earth as in heaven.
-----------
Here are some verses to meditate upon.
The first worship and praise to God recorded in the Bible: it was by a faithful old nameless servant :
Genesis 24:26 Then the man bowed down and worshiped the LORD, 27 saying, “Praise be to the LORD, the God of my master Abraham, who has not abandoned his kindness and faithfulness to my master. As for me, the LORD has led me on the journey to the house of my master’s relatives.”
The first record of a woman (Leah)giving worship and praise to God by naming her sons : 'joined' and 'praise'.
34 Again she conceived, and when she gave birth to a son she said, “Now at last my husband will become attached to me, because I have borne him three sons.” So he was named Levi.
35 She conceived again, and when she gave birth to a son she said, “This time I will praise the LORD.” So she named him Judah. Then she stopped having children.
The first record of a man mightily used by God (Moses ), praising God as a warrior : Exodus 15
“The LORD is my strength and my defense;
2 he has become my salvation. He is my God, and I will praise him, my father’s God, and I will exalt him. The LORD is a warrior; 3 the LORD is his name.
Command on why Christians should always worship and praise God : Deuteronomy 8
10 When you have eaten and are satisfied, praise the LORD your God for the good land he has given you. 11 Be careful that you do not forget the LORD your God, failing to observe his commands, his laws and his decrees that I am giving you this day.
Pride causes Christians not to praise God :
12 Otherwise ... , 14 then your heart will become proud and you will forget the LORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery...17 You may say to yourself, “My power and the strength of my hands have produced this wealth for me.”
Praise God for He is the One who has blessed us with every good gifts :
18 But remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today.
Consequences of not praising God :
19 If you ever forget the LORD your God and follow other gods and worship and bow down to them, I testify against you today that you will surely be destroyed. 20 Like the nations the LORD destroyed before you, so you will be destroyed for not obeying the LORD your God.
Leah praised God by naming her son Praise (Judah)

God alone

This blogger has learned through worships that are God focused and Jesus focused,  led by the Holy Spirit the mighty power of God's awesome presence has released and permeated, which brings forth healing and deliverance from all oppressions and depressions.

Follow and worship with good corporate worship of churches that focus on the trinity God. His goodness . His greatness . His divine nature as revealed in the entire Bible .

This blogger has been following worships that do not draw our attention to any particular lead singer or song leader , or external environment, display of any form. No distraction from any man made stuff or efforts . Just plain group of people singing to God , anointed by the Holy Spirit.

The power and glory of God manifest mightily as we focus on Him alone . He is God alone.

"You Are God Alone"

[Verse 1:] You're not a God created by human hands You're not a God dependent on any mortal man You're not a God in need of Anything we can give By Your plan, that's just the way it is [2x]

[Chorus:] You are God alone, from before time began You were on Your throne, You are God alone. And right now, in the good times and bad You are on Your throne, You are God alone.

[Verse 2:] You're the only God whose power none can contend You're the only God whose name and Praise will never end You're the only God who's worthy Of everything we can give You are God, that's just the way it is

[Chorus]

Let there be joy

Let There Be Joy

by Unlisted

1 Let there be joy, let there be peace, let there be power, let there be praise. Let there be joy, joy in the Holy Ghost. It was for freedom that we were set free, let ev'ry mountain be cast to the sea, Let there be joy, joy in the Holy Ghost

2. We will declare it to the heavens, the righ-teous-ness of God in which we stand. We will proclaim it to the nations; ev'ry eye shall see, ev'ry ear shall hear, ev'ry heart will un-der-stand.

3. (Repeat from beginning)

4. Let there be joy, let there be peace, let there be power, let there be praise. Let there be joy, joy in the Holy Ghost. It was for freedom that we were set free, let ev'ry mountain be cast to the sea, Let there be joy, joy in the Holy Ghost

Let there be joy, joy in the Holy Ghost Let there be joy, joy in the Holy Ghost ( a little slower)

in the power of signs and wonders

Romans 15:18-20 . 18 For I will not presume to speak of anything except what Christ has accomplished through me, resulting in the obedience of the Gentiles by word and deed, 19 in the power of signs and wonders, in the power of the Spirit; so that from Jerusalem and round about as far as Illyricum I have fully preached the gospel of Christ. 20 And thus I aspired to preach the gospel, not where Christ was already named, so that I would not build on another man’s foundation;

Re-Launching

My utmost for His Highest June 8th excerpts

If you do not cut the moorings , God will have to break them by a storm n send u out. Launch all on God , go out on the great swelling tide of His purpose , n you will get your eyes open .

If you believe in Jesus , you are not to spend all your time in the smooth waters just inside the harbor bar, full of delight , but always moored; you have to get out through the harbor bar into the great deeps of God n begin to know for yourself , begin to have spiritual discernment .

Revise where u have become stodgy spiritually.. You knew you should do but you did not do. Now u have no perception , no discernment.

The counterfeit of obedience is a state of mind in which you work up occasions to sacrifice yourself ; ardour is mistaken for discernment .

It is easier to sacrifice yourself than to fulfill your spiritual destiny , which is stated in Romans 12:1-2. Better to fulfill the purpose of God than perform great act of self sacrifice. To obey is better than sacrifice.
----------what a just in time reminder !
Let's know when to launch out , to where n for whose purpose.
