harp and lyre delusion effect on Christian worship congregation

Some Christian groups have adopted a religious practice to use harps and/or lyres only for worship services some claiming that in heaven these are the only musical instruments. But reading the following Bible passages from Daniel 3 we can note that harps were commonly used by pagan kings and priests for idolatry practices too. In addition it is believed to have possibly body, senses and mind control effects on the worship congregation. We pray that the Spirit of Truth reveals to those who have been subject to this influence.  Ask why you choose to continue in it.  Knowing the truth will set you free. (John 8:32)
Bible Truth:
Daniel 3 (excerpts) Nebuchadnezzar the Babylonian king made an image of gold and set it up in the plain of Dura, in the province of Babylon. He required all his subjects to fall down and worship the idol when the music played.
“Then a herald cried aloud: “To you it is commanded, O peoples, nations, and languages, that at the time you hear the sound of the horn, flute, harp, lyre, and psaltery, in symphony with all kinds of music, you shall fall down and worship the gold image that King Nebuchadnezzar has set up; and whoever does not fall down and worship shall be cast immediately into the midst of a burning fiery furnace.” So at that time, when all the people heard the sound of the horn, flute, harp, and lyre, in symphony with all kinds of music, all the people, nations, and languages fell down and worshiped the gold image which King Nebuchadnezzar had set up.” But the three friends of Daniel refused to follow this decree. They would rather die than to bow down to the golden image. They were then miraculously saved by our God.
Random information on the origins and ancient uses of harp and lyre quoted from various Internet Googled Sources:
According to ancient Greek mythology, the young god Hermes created the lyre from a large tortoise shell which he covered with animal hide and antelope horns. Lyres were associated with Apollonian virtues of moderation and equilibrium. Legend also tells the tale of Orpheus, the son of Apollo, whose “rich clear words and the silvery notes from his harp were so enchanting that they … had a magical effect on everything around him
The harp has occupied a place in myth, legend, and lore for as long as it has been around as an instrument. Perhaps because of its powerful effect upon the body and the senses, including it’s ability, when properly playedto transport the listener to an elevated state of consciousness. It is not surprising that the harp appears as an important symbol in several cultures. Because of its association with the “divine” and “ethereal”, many mythical creatures are often depicted playing harps, including angels, mermaids, sirens, gods, elves, and so on. On ancient Crete is where the harp or lyre was first invented and where you will find the first depictions and images of various Cretan Gods, Goddesses, priests, and priestesses, playing the harp.
For this “divine” reason, the harp would become one of the main symbols for these people who we know of by the names of the Cretans, Phoenicians, Ionians, Minoans, Arcadians, Atlanteans, Persians, Greek Hellenes, Hebrews, Scythians, Saxons, Angles, Irish, Picts, and Celts.

an early poetic eulogy five days before he passed on

beloved, this day you shall not fly alone (updated)

Billy Graham
A famous Christian evangelist who lived for 99 years and is known to perhaps millions in this world died on 21st February 2018 . This poem was written and posted on my Soundmind blog on the 16th of February, (five days before the announced official date of his death) while fasting for Lent.
I didn’t know who it was meant for but I knew it was a conversation between a man and God. And It seemed that the man was leaving this world and God was assuring him not to be afraid. How awesome!

Note on hearing God:
I have been listening to the teaching from Andrew Wommack for over ten years. I have learned how to hear God’s voice from him. I am still learning and practicing. this day I shall not fly alone
with new hope and not forlorn
living
dreaming
planning
parting
leaving behind
my depressed mind
stepping ahead
as my spirit heard you said
do not fear
for I have wiped away your every tear
go forth
as I have come forth
behold
here is My heart
as always of old
ever
never
leave
beloved
you are loved
so deep
so Sweet
this day you will not fly alone

For she cares nothing about the path to life.

My son, pay attention to my wisdom;
listen carefully to my wise counsel.
Then you will show discernment,
and your lips will express what you’ve learned.
For the lips of an immoral woman are as sweet as honey,
and her mouth is smoother than oil.
But in the end she is as bitter as poison,
as dangerous as a double-edged sword.
Her feet go down to death;
her steps lead straight to the grave.[a]
For she cares nothing about the path to life.
She staggers down a crooked trail and doesn’t realize it.
So now, my sons, listen to me.
Never stray from what I am about to say:
Stay away from her!
Don’t go near the door of her house!
If you do, you will lose your honor
and will lose to merciless people all you have achieved.
Strangers will consume your wealth,
and someone else will enjoy the fruit of your labor.
In the end you will groan in anguish
when disease consumes your body.
You will say, “How I hated discipline!
If only I had not ignored all the warnings!
Oh, why didn’t I listen to my teachers?
Why didn’t I pay attention to my instructors?
I have come to the brink of utter ruin,
and now I must face public disgrace.”

The Sovereignty Of The Spirit

blogger's spiritual review
This blogger started this journey in the Holy Spirit since July 2007; this journey has been worth the while. The Holy Spirit teaches the things of God just as Jesus has said.

1 Corinthians 2:9-16 has become real to me over the years progressively.

In this blog I have referred to many Spirit inspired works and recommended them often. Lately I have been listening, watching and reading Bible teachings from some of those who have taught Bible for forty years and above.

Yesterday, I was brought back to even much earlier teachings on the Holy Spirit. Here is an excerpt from Austin-Sparks (1888-1971).

The Sovereignty Of The Spirit
"The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the voice thereof, but knowest not whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit." A sovereign act of the Spirit. That takes us back to this other fragment: "That which is born of the flesh is flesh", and to that earlier fragment in this Gospel by John, which makes it so clear, so emphatic: "...which were born, not of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God" (1:13). This is something in the sovereign hands of the Holy Spirit and taken right out of the hands of men. You cannot convert yourself, you cannot convert anyone else; you cannot make yourself into this other creature, this new creation, and you can never make anyone else it. And you can never say when it is to be, either for yourself, or for anyone else. All that is a matter of the sovereign Spirit. If the wind decides to blow, it does not give you notice a day beforehand! It just blows, and when it blows you cannot say, 'You are out-of-date, you have come at the wrong time - this is not a convenient moment!' It blows, and that is all there is to it.
Now here you are touching a principle: the sovereignty of the Spirit, as represented by the sovereignty of the wind. You know quite well that [it] is useless to stand up against the wind when it really decides to blow. Carry that principle over further into the New Testament, and you will read three times: "And the Lord added to the church those that were being saved...", "there were added unto them...", "there were added to the Lord..." Who added? Did the apostles add? Not at all. The Lord added. There is all the difference between our being told to go and join a church, and the Lord adding to Christ, or between our joining what we call a church, and being added to Christ. We cannot join Christ at our own will, just when we want to, or think we will decide to, because being added to Christ involves being re-constituted on a different principle, and that is not in our power at all. It is the Lord Who must do it, so that the adding is His sovereign act: and when He decides to do it, it is wonderful, is it not? And if He does not decide to do it, you can work yourself to death, and nothing will happen. This is the work of the Lord.
Look at the day of Pentecost. The wind blew then - a mighty rushing wind. Was it sovereignty? "And there were added unto them in that day about three thousand souls." This was the sovereignty of the Spirit. How wide and far-reaching is the application of that! Oh, that Christianity were on that fundamental basis today - the absolute sovereignty of the Holy Spirit! Why is it not so? Because of the present sovereignty of the natural, because of the intrusion into Christianity of the natural man.
( excerpts from: God's Reactions to Man's Defections - Part 2 by T. Austin-Sparks - Chapter 5 - The Spiritual Basis of the Christian Life )
It is worthwhile to visit the web-site of Austin-Sparks and ask the Lord to show you what articles to read. http://www.austin-sparks.net/

Books too: "A spiritual state is the key to all that is of God. Spirituality is the door, and the key to the door, beyond which lies everything that relates to God. Without spirituality, there is no way through, the door is closed. "

Re-Launching

My utmost for His Highest June 8th excerpts

If you do not cut the moorings , God will have to break them by a storm n send u out. Launch all on God , go out on the great swelling tide of His purpose , n you will get your eyes open .

If you believe in Jesus , you are not to spend all your time in the smooth waters just inside the harbor bar, full of delight , but always moored; you have to get out through the harbor bar into the great deeps of God n begin to know for yourself , begin to have spiritual discernment .

Revise where u have become stodgy spiritually.. You knew you should do but you did not do. Now u have no perception , no discernment.

The counterfeit of obedience is a state of mind in which you work up occasions to sacrifice yourself ; ardour is mistaken for discernment .

It is easier to sacrifice yourself than to fulfill your spiritual destiny , which is stated in Romans 12:1-2. Better to fulfill the purpose of God than perform great act of self sacrifice. To obey is better than sacrifice.
----------what a just in time reminder !
Let's know when to launch out , to where n for whose purpose.
