Journey to see God: see the divine Father and Son relationship

The relationship between God the Father and Jesus the Son of God, has been repeatedly declared by Jesus while on earth, as the Son Of Man. Jesus was Spirit-filled and walked in the power of the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of God. Let us read His words on His divine relationship with God and learn from Him the right way of knowing God. What did Jesus say about God? How we may relate to God? John 1:18 “No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him.”
Jesus declared His status (and relationship with God) clearly in the temple, 7:28-29 “You both know Me, and you know where I am from; and I have not come of myself, but He who sent Me is true, Whom you do not know. But I know Him, for I am from Him, and He sent Me.”
John the baptist testified for Jesus, “And I have seen and testified that this is the Son of God.” 1:34 He testified Jesus’ relationship with God. “ He who comes from above is above all…and what He has seen and heard, that He testifies…For He Whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God does not give the Spirit by measure. The Father loves the Son, and has given all things into His hand. He who believes in the Son has everlasting life;” 3:31, 32, 34-36
Jesus spoke of God as His Father, and He declared the true purpose of the temple of God. “Take these things away! Do not make My Father‘s house a house of merchandise!” 2:16
He told off His earthly parents, “Why do you seek Me? Did you not know that I must be about My Father‘s business?” Luke 2:49
At Jerusalem, Jesus went into the temple and drove out those who bought and sold in the temple…and would not allow anyone to carry wares through the temple. hen He taught, saying to them, “Is it not written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations? But you have made it a den of thieves’?” Mark 11:15-17
He testified that His mission on earth was the mission of God for mankind. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.” John 3:16-17
Jesus spoke of Himself as the gift of God and that He gives living water; a ‘fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.” (the Holy Spirit who gives the rebirth). 3:10, 14
He spoke of how a believer relates to Godby his action. “But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.’ 3:21
Jesus declared that God is Spirit and looks for those who worship in spirit and in truth. 4:23-24
Jesus declared how God works pertaining to human. “My Father has been working until now, and I have been working.” 5:17 God works. God is always working.
What work God works and Jesus also does? Jesus explained further on this subject in 5:19-21 “…the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does the Son also does in like manner. For the Father loves the Son , and shows Him all things that He himself does; and He will show Him greater works than these, that you may marvel. For the Father raises the dead and gives life to them, even so the Son gives life to whom He will.” 37 “And the Father Himself, who sent Me, has testified of Me.” 43 “I have come in My Father‘s name,”
God works through Jesus. “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him Whom He sent.” 6:29
6:27 God the Father has set his seal on Him. Therefore Jesus can give us the food which endures to everlasting life.
6:32 “My Father gives you the true bread from heaven.” 37 “All that My Father give Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out. 38 For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me.”
Jesus clearly declared what the will of Godregarding salvation through Jesusis. 6:39 This is the will of the Father who sent Me, that of all He has given Me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up at the last day.” 40 “And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day.”
God draws us to Jesus. God teaches us to go to Jesus. “Everyone who has heard and learned from the Father comes to Me.” 6:45
There is a connection of life between Jesus and the Father. It is in the Holy Spirit(the Spirit of God and the Spirit of Christ) and the words of God. 6:57 “As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so He who feeds on Me will live because of Me. 63 “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit and they are life.”
unless one is born of water and the Spirit, He cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.” 3:5-6 “He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” 7:
Concerning the words Jesus spoke: 7:16-17 “My doctrine is not mine, but his who sent Me. If anyone wills to do His will, he shall know concerning the doctrine, whether it is from God or whether I speak on My own authority.” 8:26 “but I speak to the world those things which I heard from Him.” 8:28-29 “that I do nothing of myself; but as My Father taught Me, I speak these things. And He who sent Me is with Me. The Father does not leave Me alone, for I always do those things that please Him.”
31-32 “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free.”
38 I speak what I have seen with My Father,” 47 “He who is of God hears God’s words;” 51 “If anyone keeps My word He shall never see death.” 55 “I do know Him and keep His word.”
Jesus spoke of the love relationship between Him and the Father in chapter 10:
10:15 “As the Father knows Me, even so I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep.”
17-18 “Therefore My Father loves Me, because I lay down My life that I may take it again…and I have power to take it again. This command I have received from My Father.” 25 “The works that I do in My Father’s name.”
29 “My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My father’s hand.’
30 “I and My Father are one.” 32 “Many good works I have shown you from My Father.” 36 “I am the Son of God.” 31 “If I do not do the works of My Father, do not believe Me.” 38 “that you may know and believe that the Father is in Me, and I in Him.”
(This study is based mainly on the gospel according to John, chapters 1-10, unless otherwise specified. Some of the verses are quoted in excerpts. Readers are urged to refer to the Bible yourself so that you would not miss out the original full texts.)

those who turn many to righteousness Like the stars forever and ever.

31 And forces shall be mustered by him, and they shall defile the sanctuary fortress; then they shall take away the daily sacrifices, and place there the abomination of desolation. 32 Those who do wickedly against the covenant he shall corrupt with flattery; but the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits. 33 And those of the people who understand shall instruct many; yet for many days they shall fall by sword and flame, by captivity and plundering. 34 Now when they fall, they shall be aided with a little help; but many shall join with them by intrigue. 35 And some of those of understanding shall fall, to refine them, purify them, and make them white, until the time of the end; because it is still for the appointed time. (Daniel 11:31-35)
____________________
“At that time Michael shall stand up,
The great prince who stands watch over the sons of your people;
And there shall be a time of trouble,
Such as never was since there was a nation,
Even to that time.
And at that time your people shall be delivered,
Every one who is found written in the book.
And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake,
Some to everlasting life,
Some to shame and everlasting contempt.
Those who are wise shall shine
Like the brightness of the firmament,
And those who turn many to righteousness
Like the stars forever and ever.
“But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.”
Then I, Daniel, looked; and there stood two others, one on this riverbank and the other on that riverbank. And one said to the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, “How long shall the fulfillment of these wonders be?
Then I heard the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand to heaven, and swore by Him who lives forever, that it shall be for a time, times, and half a time; and when the power of the holy people has been completely shattered, all these things shall be finished.
Although I heard, I did not understand. Then I said, “My lord, what shall be the end of these things?
And he said, “Go your way, Daniel, for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end. 10 Many shall be purified, made white, and refined, but the wicked shall do wickedly; and none of the wicked shall understand, but the wise shall understand.
11 “And from the time that the daily sacrifice is taken away, and the abomination of desolation is set up, there shall be one thousand two hundred and ninety days. 12 Blessed is he who waits, and comes to the one thousand three hundred and thirty-five days.
13 But you, go your way till the end; for you shall rest, and will arise to your inheritance at the end of the days.” (Daniel 12)

Remnants’ Story: there is nothing in between waiting and traveling

For a mindman: This is most unthinkable. A day or even a period of blanks. No mind activity or any activity? Well, there are plenty of activities. In the spiritual realm.
For the remnants at end times, there is nothing in between waiting and traveling, the mindman has learned.
The mindman had spent a most unusual three days’ trip to an island.
The trip: One and half days of traveling by land, sea and then by land again.
In between: one day of haze.
There was nothing else. The bulk of the time was spent in preparing for travel, actual on the road and on sea, and waiting in between the travel.
Why was he put on such a trip? He asked. It is like the current theme for the end times remnants is: prepare to travel by land and by sea, including climbing mountains, up and down mountains; actual travel by land and by water; and waiting.
What about the in between? The mindman asked. The in between is just in between. There is nothing there. This is a mere beginning...
(Excerpt from my book on End Day Remnants.)

Bible verses quoted from Isaiah 11
11:2 And the Spirit of the Lord will rest on Him—
The Spirit of wisdom and understanding,
The Spirit of counsel and strength,
The Spirit of knowledge and of the [reverential and obedient] fear of the Lord—

The Restored Remnant
11:11
Then it will happen on that day that the Lord
Will again acquire with His hand a second time
The remnant of His people, who will remain,
From Assyria, from [Lower] Egypt, from Pathros, from Cush (Ethiopia), from Elam [in Persia], from Shinar [Babylonia], from Hamath [in Aram],
And from the coastlands bordering the [Mediterranean] Sea.
11:12
And He will lift up a signal for the nations
And assemble the [a]outcasts of Israel,
And will gather the dispersed of Judah

Journey to see God: what Jesus used His power and authority for

说信心的言语We have read how Jesus used His power and authority to preach the gospel to the poor, heal the sick and cast out demons. We have not previously discussed how He did not use His power and authority. So here are some of the objects/actions on which He did not use His power and authority.

  1. He did not use them on producing food and other material stuff for Himself.
  2. He did not use them to destroy His earthly opponents.
  3. He did not use them to steal, kill and destroy human.
  4. He did not show off His superior position as the Son of God, by using them.
  5. He did not use them to gain prestigious political, economic, social or religious position, honor, status or popularity.
  6. He did not use them to avoid the tortuous, cruel and painful (body, soul and spirit) death on the cross in a human form.
  7. He did not use them to reduce His mission time on earth and expedite the whole crucifixion atonement process.
Jesus corrected and reprimanded His disciples when they misunderstood the use of authority and power. He spoke very stern words to John and James such as, “What manner of spirit are you?” He even commanded Satan directly to get off when he reprimanded Peter. During all His healing and deliverance of those tormented by demons, He commanded the demons directly. They obeyed His power and authority.

One key goal to remember is Jesus came to save life and not to destroy life. He came to give abundant life. He came to heal the sick and not to give sickness. He came to relieve the suffering of mankind and not to add to the suffering. By His death on the cross, having borne all the diseases and sins on His body, He defeated the power of sin and death. He broke all the curses on human.
Jesus knew exactly what He needed to do on earth, how long and how much. He did not go beyond what He saw His Father in heaven did. He set a clear demarcation between dealing with evil spirits and the human through which those spirits manifested. He was walking by the Spirit and living by the Spirit at all times.

Jesus has thus demonstrated to us the only correct way to use His power and authority as Son of God.

“For as many are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.” Romans 8:14

Jesus' power to heal is available to all who believe

 Jesus heals many

How did Jesus heal? What did He want of the patients? This is another key to divine health and wholeness living.
The key truth: Jesus clearly stated that He is the Physician who heals those who are sick and the God who has power on earth to forgive sins. (Luke 5:31-32) All who actually believed what Jesus said were healed.
Oftentimes He just preached and taught the multitudes and the power of the Lord was present to heal them! Luke 5:15
Here are some verses spoken by Jesus and they revealed the truth that set free!

_________Bible verses (NKJV) are taken from the Gospel According to Luke, chapters 4-6: describing the behavior, attitude, belief of the 'patients' who came to Jesus for healing.
4:32-33 a man with an unclean demon cried out in the presence of Jesus who was teaching, for His word was with authority. The man was listening to His word.
5:12 a man full of leprosy saw Jesus and fell on his face and spoke out his faith in Jesus' power and authority to heal. He acknowledged his uncleanness and need of cleansing, saying "Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean."
5:15 great multitudes came together to hear Jesus' teaching and to be healed by Him of their infirmities. They believed in the power of the word Jesus spoke to heal them.
5:25 a paralyzed man believed his sins were forgiven because Jesus said so, and obeyed the command of Jesus to rise up and take up his bed and walked back to his own house.
5:27-28 a sinner (tax collector) Levi was saved from his sins by obeying the command of Jesus to follow Him. He left all, rose up, and followed Him.
6:10 a man with a withered right hand believed in Jesus' authority to override that of the synagogue authority (based on Moses Law), and obeyed Jesus' command to stretch out his hand on Sabbath.
6:17-19 "great multitude of people came to hear Him and be healed of their diseases, as well as those tormented with unclean spirits. And they were all healed. And the whole multitude sought to touch Him, for power went out of Him and healed them all."

The patients came, heard His word, believed the word, and even touched Him (encountered His power)! Power came out of Jesus as He preached the word. They believed and were healed.

Journey to see God: Jesus word power

The way Jesus dealt with healing and deliverance is the only way the disciples followed. Jesus promised this, "If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him." Then He also promised that the Father will send the Holy Spirit in His name. "He will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you." (John 15:23, 26)
The key to disciples' success in carrying out the supernatural mission that Jesus had started on earth, to preach the good news of the kingdom of God, to heal the sick, cast out demons and set the oppressed free, reconciling the Father in heaven with those who believe, bringing the supernatural rebirth by the Holy Spirit to mortal lives, thereby translating believers from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of marvelous light of the Son of God, transforming ordinary human being into sons of God...is the word of God, quickened by the Holy Spirit.

Our faith is based on the word of God. The word of God brings the presence of God. Here are some of the significant words (from the Gospel according to Luke) about the importance of His (God's) words that Jesus spoke:
  1. His first statement to His earthly parents about His real heavenly Son-ship and priority in life: "Did you not know that I must be about My Father's business?" 2:49
  2. His first kingly announcement to the spiritual enemy: "It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God." 4:4
  3. His first statement to the synagogue (Jewish religious leaders and congregation): "Today this Scripture is fulfilled in your hearing." 4:21H
  4. His first command to demon: "Be quiet, and come out of him!" 4:35
  5. His first declaration of purpose to the crowd: "I must preach the kingdom of God to the other cities also, because for this purpose I have been sent." 4:43
  6. His first command to the future apostle (Peter): "Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch." 5:4
  7. His first confirmation of His willingness to heal: "I am willing; be cleansed." 5:13
  8. His first display of His authority as God's Son to forgive sin: "Man, your sins are forgiven you." 5:20
  9. His first revelation of His position above the Law, to those who challenged Him with the Law: "The Son of Man is also Lord of the Sabbath." 6:5
  10. His first praise was given to a man of faith in Him (His word): "I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel!" 7:9 ( a centurion who had publicly declared his faith by asking Jesus to just say the word, and his servant would be healed!)
Summary: Jesus does not speak idle or empty word. Every word God speaks has purpose, authority and power. Every word is truth. Every word has substance. The minute He spoke it the word became life and spirit to those who received them. (John 6:63)

awesome revelation for the body of Christ -Spiritual Authority to overcome

Spiritual AuthorityAlbumBy Andrew Wommack Please take a minute to read this letter I recently received from a 19-year-old girl.
Dear Mr. Wommack, I realize that you must receive frequent letters regarding your ministry. But even with that knowledge, I feel compelled to write. I’ve just finished listening to your audio series entitled “Spiritual Authority,” and it has changed my life.
When I was in junior high, I became involved in Wicca, or Paganism. For two- and-a-half years I toyed with the powers of Satan, calling on numerous demons to do my bidding. Not only was I demon possessed, but I was heavily into drugs and alcohol. A few months before I became a Christian, I began to realize that I was no longer in control. In fact, I was the one being controlled. My free will was so entangled with Satan’s deception that I lost the ability to think for myself.
On August 29, 1996, I accepted Christ as my Lord and Savior. At the moment I confessed my sin and gave my life to God, He delivered me from the demons, drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, and sexual relationships I was involved in. I thought I was rid of Satan’s power for good.
It wasn’t long before fear started to overcome me. The demons I once fellowshipped with tormented me day and night. I could see them in the corner of my room while I was trying to sleep. When I was outside at night, I could feel their presence. After a while, I began to cope with it, and it became an everyday part of my life. I knew they couldn’t touch me, but I was terrified nonetheless.
Almost four years after my conversion, I was still dealing with these demonic forces. It was only when I listened to your series that I understood the power and authority I have over them. Instead of literally hiding under my blankets at night for fear of the demon in the corner of my room, I smile, say a quick prayer of praise to God, and fall asleep.
Your illustration of how we sometimes picture demons was of particular interest to me. You say that we picture them as towering beasts with claws and such, when in reality they are sniveling, little things. That is so true! The only power they have is the power we give them. What a blessing to finally realize that! My outlook on life has totally changed, thanks to your willingness to be used of God. If it were not for the godly truths of your ministry, I would still be enslaved by my fear.
I am now actively pursuing the calling God placed on my life, a calling to ministry. I am excited and anxious for the future and the things that God will be able to accomplish through my obedience. My Christian walk is stronger than ever before, and my friends constantly ask what’s different about me. They don’t seem to grasp that a nineteen-year-old can be so in love with God that it’s physically evident.
Again I thank you for your willingness to step out in faith and be used of God. God, through you, has touched my life and, I’m sure, the lives of countless others. I’m looking forward to listening to your other teachings. Tori from PA
Isn’t that awesome! Praise the Lord for the power of the truth and how it sets us free (John 8:32). The only power that Satan has is the power of deception, and the worst thing about deception is that you don’t know you’re being deceived. Otherwise, it wouldn’t be deception. Once the truth is received, deception loses all its power. Therefore, Satan loses all his power when we know the truth.
Many people don’t know the truth about Satan’s defeat. In fact, many Christians are the very instrument the devil is using to foster the deception that he is still a powerful foe. “Spiritual warfare” is one of the hottest topics in the church today. People are expending great amounts of energy constantly battling the devil in ways contrary to Scripture, but in reality, Satan has already been defeated. We don’t need to defeat him again.
We need to believe that Satan has already been completely destroyed (Heb. 2:14) and simply enforce his defeat. The only power he has is the power to deceive. Our battle should be against the wiles (trickery) of the devil (Eph. 6:11), not the devil himself. Any other approach is actually giving the devil authority and power which he doesn’t have, and he uses that to intimidate us. The only weapon Satan has is the power we give him when we believe his lies.
Warfare only takes place between two undefeated foes. Once an enemy has been conquered, the war is over. Satan is a defeated foe.
Colossians 2:15 says, “And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.” The archaic meaning of the word “spoiled” here is “to plunder; despoil” (American Heritage Dictionary). This means that after Jesus defeated Satan, He stripped him of everything he had, specifically the keys of death and hell (Rev. 1:18). Satan has no power to imprison anyone.
The Greek word that was translated “shew” in this verse (Col 2:15) is “deigmatizo” which means “to exhibit” (Strong). This comes from the root word “deigma” which means “a specimen (as shown)” (ibid.). Satan is like one of those bugs we had to capture for biology class. We caught it and then impaled it on a board with a little pin to exhibit it. You need to picture the devil nailed to the cross of Jesus like a bug on display. Hallelujah! Take that, Mr. Devil!
The Greek word that was translated “triumphing over” in Colossians 2:15 is especially significant. It means “to make an acclamatory procession” (ibid.). This is specifically referring to the way the Romans had a “triumphant procession” after they had defeated their enemies.
Upon conquering an enemy, the Romans would hold a parade. They would take the conquered king, strip him naked, and drag him through the crowd behind the conquering king or commander for all their subjects to see. He would be humiliated and insulted, but that’s not all. They would also cut off the thumbs of his hands and the big toes of both feet. This was to assure the subjects this enemy would never be a threat to any of them again. He could not hold a sword and he would never be able to run again. There was no need to fear him any more. Any rumor about him ever challenging Rome again would be scoffed at because the citizens had seen him in the parade.
The same thing happened to the devil. That’s what this verse is referring to. Jesus not only beat the devil, but He had a triumphant procession to display the devil to the universe as a totally conquered foe. Satan should never terrify us again. Unfortunately, many Christians have missed the parade. They haven’t seen God’s triumphant procession that was pictured in God’s Word where Satan was displayed as a totally defeated foe. They are circulating rumors that Satan is a powerful foe to be reckoned with. That’s not so.
Satan is still alive, and we do have to reckon with him but only because he has so many lies circulating about his power against us. These are all lies, and therein lies Satan’s power. If we believe his lies, he then uses our own authority, which our fear grants him, to work his destruction in our lives. He has no power of his own. He’s using the power and authority that our misdirected faith gives him.
When I was just beginning my walk with the Lord, I came into the knowledge that demons do exist, and they are not all in Africa. We encounter demons often, and they are the workers of much of the evil we see every day. At first, this caused a fear in me that actually gave these demons in-roads into my life. On one hand, I was resisting them, but through fear I was also empowering them.
An example of this happened to me in Arlington, Texas, where I grew up. I was in love with the Lord and wanting to minister to people. I decided to open up what I called “Arlington Christian Center.” It was going to be a home where people who were being controlled by things like alcohol, drugs, sex, etc. could come and stay while we broke the power of the devil over them and helped set them free. I rented a two-story house, right on the edge of the University of Texas at Arlington campus, and started fixing it up.
This house had been a fraternity house, and there had been a lot of demonic activity in the house prior to our occupancy. The people were gone, but not all the demons were. There were some strange things about that place. One night I was working up there at 1 a.m., and some demons attacked me. There was no one in that house except me, but I was being hit and choked, and I was fighting for my life.
I ran out of that house and got in my car and backed out of the driveway. I was ready to “burn rubber” and get as far away from there as possible. Just before I got the car into drive, I heard the Lord say to me, “What are you doing?” I told Him I was getting away from that place as fast as I could. He then reminded me of the Christian’s armor that was described in Ephesians 6:10-18, and He said, “There isn’t any armor to cover your back.”
I knew what He meant. He was saying that the armor He had given me only worked when I faced the devil, not if I turned and ran. I thought, Lord, You couldn’t want me to go back into that place and face those devils. He never said anything else to me. I pulled back into the driveway and thought about that for what seemed to be an eternity. Finally, I got out of the car and walked back into that house. I spent the rest of the night fighting off fear and those physical attacks of the devil. When I left in the morning, the demons were gone, and there was a supernatural peace in that place.
During that time, I had a lot of demonic attacks against me. I had dreams where demons would attack me, and I would wake up bleeding from those encounters. They weren’t just in my mind. I was being physically attacked. That also happened one night in Louisiana at a Bible conference. It felt like I was being choked to death. I won, but these demonic encounters were not fun.
Then one day as I was praying and binding every demon on every continent, it dawned on my lightning-fast mind that I was actually spending more time in my prayers talking to the devil and rebuking him than I was talking to the Lord. I knew that wasn’t right. The Lord began to reveal to me that all my attention on the devil was actually giving him these in-roads into my life, which caused all these attacks.
I repented and changed my thinking and focus and guess what? It’s now been at least thirty years, and I have never had another demonic manifestation in my life. I have seen demons manifest around me in other people, and I’ve cast them out, but those personal attacks stopped nearly instantly. There has never been another one because the only reason Satan’s imps were able to manifest like that to me in the first place was because of the fear I released toward them. The fear is gone, and therefore, so is their power.
This is an awesome revelation and one that is not the dominant theological position on Satan and demons today. This truth desperately needs to be communicated throughout the body of Christ.
